How long from sale agreed to keys?

Checked 21 Oct 2026the typical windows for a sale under the Law Society of Ireland's General Conditions of Sale (2023 edition).

Sale agreed is the day the seller accepts your offer. From there, a typical sale runs through seven steps to closing day. Enter the date and the tool gives each step a window of dates, says what can hold it up, and makes a calendar file you can keep.

The sale

When did you go sale agreed, and what kind of sale is it?

The windows are planning ranges from typical sales, not a promise. Your solicitor and the seller's solicitor set the real dates between them, and a new build closes when the builder finishes it.
