Checked 21 Oct 2026the Central Bank (Supervision and Enforcement) Act 2013 (Section 48) (Housing Loan Requirements) Regulations, as amended by S.I. 141/2026, the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997, section 477C, as amended and the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997, section 473B.

The rules set the deposit as a share of the price, and buying has costs on top. Enter the price you are aiming at, what you have saved and what you can put away each month. The tool shows the cash you need and the month you get there, with Help to Buy and the rent tax credit where they apply.
